Generations of Compassion: The Legacy of Euro American Connections

In a quaint village in Poland, a remarkable story unfolded, one that spans three generations and continues to leave an unforgettable mark on the community. It all began with a single mother, her two children, and an elderly neighbor in need.

Maggie Drag witnessed her mother as a young child juggling the responsibilities of being a single parent, taking care of her and her younger brother, while caring for their aging neighbor for 10 years. Despite the challenges, she never hesitated to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return. Her acts of kindness inspired Maggie to follow suit.

Driven by the same unselfish examples set by her mother, Maggie stepped into the role of caregiver and entrepreneur, starting Euro American Connections. For the past 34 years, families in Connecticut have come to rely on Euro American Connections when seeking compassionate, affordable care for their elderly loved ones.

Euro American Connections has been more than a business, it’s a lifeline. Their referred caregivers provide companionship, assistance, and love to those who once cared for us. Whether it’s preparing a warm meal, reading a favorite book, or simply listening to stories of days gone by, they embody the spirit of being called to care.

When Maggie received the Business Leadership Award from the Polish American Foundation of Connecticut, the room filled with applause, but it wasn’t just for her. It was for every caregiver, every family, and every person who believed in the power of compassion. Her daughter, Clara, was there to share in the emotions of humility, pride and calling to care.

As Maggie’s daughter takes her place within Euro American Connections, the circle remains unbroken. The calling to care for others’ lives on with three generations bound by love, kindness, and a shared purpose, to make the world a little brighter, one act of compassion at a time. And so, where the past and present intertwine, the legacy lives on.
